Why This Project Matters
"I know you can do anything, and no one can stop you."- Job 42:2
In Job, we see a man who God allows to be directly attacked by Satan. He is an example of faithfulness as he loses everything important to him yet remains faithful to God. Its purpose is to illustrate God’s sovereignty and faithfulness during a time of great suffering. There is still suffering amongst of us every day that we do not see, but once you have seen it, you cannot forget it. In New York City, children are surrounded with substance abuse, gangs, violence, and starvation, along physical and emotional abuse. These are just a few things that they are faced with every day.
But for a few days you can change all of that! By your gift of $180 dollars a child will get to leave their toxic environment just a few hours away in Connecticut and experience something so simple as seeing stars for the first time, swimming in a lake, eating 3 full meals a day, running around in the grass and not worry about gangs or getting hit by a car, getting a full night’s sleep without hearing gun shots out their window… but most importantly experience the love of the Father that they were always intended to have.
I know for a fact that if I didn’t have the opportunity to attend camp when I was growing up there is no telling where my life would be today. Camp changed my life, now we get to change theirs, but I can’t do this without your help.
Whose life will you forever impact today?
